This recipe made the blog round a few years ago, I believe. I was introduced to it by Brad’s mom. Brad actually made it for me one time…the one time he cooked for me 🙂 It’s delicious. Sweet. Nutty. Strawberry-y. Yum.
So if you still have strawberries…
Recipe from my mom-in-law
12 oz spinach, torn
2 cups sliced strawberries
2 oranges (in a pinch, I use mandarin oranges)
1/2 cup pine nuts (in a pinch, I use sliced almonds)
1/2 cup sugar
2 T sesame seeds
1 T poppy seeds
1/4 t Worcestershire sauce
1/4 t paprika
1/2 cup light tasting olive oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
Assemble your salad with the spinach, fruit, and nuts. Make a dressing by whisking together the remaining ingredients. Pour over the salad.
