This weekend I think I am going to make a boatload of cake to serve at a local farming picnic Brad and I are in charge of. It’s an ice cream social thing but I’m thinking cake might be a hit. We’ll see if I have the gumption by the end of the week!
I believe I’ll start canning some tomatoes this week. We now can’t eat them all fast enough. I’m excited!
The corn is coming thick and fast now. I froze 13 dozen this weekend. Our third patch will be ready mid-week.
Tuesday: Potato Pizza, Green Beans
Wednesday: Corn on the Cob, Cucumber Salad, Grilled Zucchini
Thursday: Burrito Bake, Green Beans
Friday: Hot Dogs, Festive Rice Salad, Sliced Cucumbers
Saturday: Some sort of picnic supper…not sure yet
Sunday: BBQ chicken, Corn on the Cob, Grilled Zucchini
Desserts: Apricot Crisp, Homemade Popsicles, Ice Cream, Chocolate Cake
